Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has announced her intention to pursue a fourth degree at the age of 31.

In a video shared on X.com on Monday, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, revealed her plans to return to school.

Her caption said: “Have the courage to break the patterns in your life that are no longer serving you. It changed me completely!”

In the video, she explained that her passion for learning, despite already having three degrees, motivated her to apply to a highly challenging university. She described how she started working on the application immediately after a DJ gig and decided to return to school due to her love for education. She acknowledged the rigorous application process and how she initially felt discouraged by her age. However, she overcame this by reflecting on her previous academic achievements.

“I just felt quite discouraged. I’m 31 now, and my brain doesn’t work like it needs to. I was looking at the prerequisite, and I was like, ‘how am I going to do this?’ But I realized that I’ve done it before, and I can do it again,” she added.

DJ Cuppy urged people to focus on changing negative patterns rather than dwelling on problems. She highlighted how many of us fail to pursue our dreams and visions because we are often our own harshest critics. She shared her experiences of initially doubting her ability to attend prestigious institutions like King’s College, New York University at 21, and Oxford University at 30, but ultimately overcoming these doubts and achieving her goals.

Emphasizing the importance of addressing negative thought patterns, she encouraged others to work on changing these patterns to overcome self-doubt and achieve their aspirations, including her own determination to earn a fourth degree.
