At least two people have been killed at a school in northern Slovakia on Thursday, after a student attacked people with a knife, according to emergency services.
Slovak emergency services spokesperson Danka Capakova told Reuters journalists that several crews had been dispatched to a high school in Spisska Stara Ves at 12:00 GMT, presumably after an alarm had been sounded.
“At least two people are dead and one injured,” Capakova said.
The police have meanwhile, said in a post on Facebook that an 18-year-old student attacked a teacher and two classmates, adding that the suspect had been detained.
Several emergency medical crews were at the scene, News broadcaster TA3 had reported, but the number of people injured is yet to be known, at the time of this report.
