The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has retorted that the plot of five aggrieved governors of the party to adopt the presidential candidates of other political parties will not alter the decision of God regarding the 2023 general election outcome.
Atiku had made the statement through his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, in a reaction to the London meeting of the G-5 Governors including Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo), to endorse a Southern candidate instead of their party’s presidential candidate.
Shaibu had then gone on to liken the former Vice President to an elephant, stating that even when it walked on thorns, it would not limp.
Since Atiku’s emergence as the presidential candidate of PDP, the aggrieved governors who had tagged themselves the integrity governors had been attacking their party leadership, particularly after the nomination of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as the vice presidential candidate of Atiku.
