Displaying the true spirit of a politician, Daniel Bawla, the spokesman of the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated the newly sworn-in President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima.
Bwala had written on his Twitter page,
“May I congratulate Bola Ahmed Tinubu #officialABAT and Kashim Shetima #KashimSM for taking the oath of office and allegiance as the 16th President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to defend the constitution and administer the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Despite the fact, that the PDP is contending Tinubu’s win at the February 25 polls at the ongoing Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, where they’ve been given few weeks to prove their case, he still did the needful by congratulating the president.
Some Nigerians have applauded him for his “true sportsmanship spirit” while others have accused him of betraying his party by posting a congratulatory message me for a president his party disapproved of.
Despite the critics and the praises, one has to admit that his action is admirable.
