Bandits were slain in a shootout with Bauchi security agents

During a gunfight in Bauchi State’s Alkaleri Local Government Area, a joint team of security agents murdered 12 known bandits and kidnappers.
Ahmed Wakil, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Bauchi State Command, confirmed this in a statement made available to journalists in the state on Monday.
He added their leader, Madaki Mansur, was also slain in the raid while others escaped into the jungle with bullet wounds.
According to him, the bandits and kidnappers are infamous for terrorizing Alkaleri LGA, Taraba, Plateau, and Gombe States.
The feat, according to Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, was accomplished by a coordinated operation of security officers in Bauchi State in four of the bandits’ hideouts.
In addition, he claimed that working motorcycles and firearms that belonged to the criminals were found.
