The former US president Barack Obama has reportedly, popped into Downing Street on Monday afternoon (GMT + 1) for a private meeting with Rishi Sunak.
Obama had smiled and waved to newsmem before he duvked into No. 10 at about 3pm.
HIs visit has been tagged a courtesy call and the details of what he would be talking about with Sunak were not made available at press time.
THe Ukraine war could be one of the talking points they discuss given the lastest threat posed by Vladimir Putin to Europe.
As expected, Obama’s visit, which under normal circumstances, would have come amid tight security had caused an immediate stir in Westminster.
But it is being said that it is far less surprising than when Bill Clinton, a former US president had the year after he had left the White House, turned up at Labour’s annual rally in Blackpool in 2002 and walked into the local McDonald’s restaurant.
