Nigerian Afrobeat singer Ayra Starr has shared her thoughts on her early musical journey in the children’s choir.
In a recent interview posted on X Monday, she revealed that her musical journey began at the age of 10 when she joined the children’s choir at her local church.
As a member of the choir, Ayra Starr mentioned that she honed her vocal abilities and discovered her love for music.
She fondly remembered the experience, noting how it played a key role in shaping her artistry.
“I love being in the choir, I was like the loudest child, it was a kids choir actually and everybody was little, it really helped me shape my voice and music”, she said.
