While most people from around the world were having their Christmas Day feast and connecting with loved ones, Beyoncé and her first-born daughter, Blue Ivy decided to serve the good people of USA, one more show stopping meal during the NFL halftime – to go of course.
Logging onto my X (formerly Twitter) feed this morning, the hashtags: #NFL, #Beyoncé, #BlueIvy and #BeyoncéBowl dominated my feed – it was all Beyoncé stans could talk about and after taking out time to do my research, I understood why.
For most people, Beyoncé and Blue Ivy’s performance at the NFL Christmas Day halftime show was the show of a lifetime, drawing in major views from avid football fans and non-football watchers alike, and even critics.
In summary, it was described as a grand musical spectacle and while I’m tempted to agree, my focus was mostly on the fashion showcased during the halftime performance. From the dramatic entrances to coordinated outfits, the event gave fashion mavens a look into key fashion trends that just might dominate the trend table in 2025.
~The Highlights~
1. Beyoncé’s Show-Stopping Entrance Look
Beyoncé made a grand entrance on a white horse, setting the stage for a performance that was as visually stunning as it was musically captivating. Her first outfit featured a white feathered gown paired with a chic cowboy hat and sash that read: “Cowboy Carter”, successfully incorporating elegance with a touch of Western flair.
During her dance performance however, she wore a white, long-sleeved bodysuit and matching thigh high boot. The music icon accessorised with silver jewellery and white cowboy hat.
2. Blue Ivy’s Coordinated Style
Joining her mother on stage, Blue Ivy wore an outfit that perfectly complemented Beyoncé’s look. The coordinated mother-daughter fashion moment was a highlight of the show, leaving the audience going crazy when she emerged from behind the other dancers where she had been covertly dancing the whole time.
Blue Ivy’s ensemble included an age appropriate version of Beyoncé’s white bodysuit — a two piece corset top and trouser, complete with a matching cowboy hat and a silver, statement belt. Her look was both adorable and chic.
3. Possible Trends
a. Feathers
Feathers were a standout accessory in Beyoncé’s entrance outfit. This trend is all about adding texture and drama to your look. Whether it’s a feathered gown for a special occasion or feathered accessories for a touch of flair, this trend can prove to be versatile and eye-catching when styled right. Feathers can be incorporated into various fashion pieces, ranging from dresses and skirts to handbags and shoes.
b. Cowboy Chic
The cowboy hat has been making a comeback for quite some time now thanks in part to supermodel Bella Hadid, the Louis Vuitton SS24 collection under Pharrell Williams’ creative directorship, and now Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ album. With this performance proved, the music icon has proved that this accessory can be both stylish and sophisticated.
Paired with elegant gowns or casual outfits, the cowboy hat adds a unique twist to any ensemble. Look for hats in neutral tones or bold colors to make a statement. This trend incorporates the rugged charm of Western wear with high fashion, creating a look that is both edgy and refined when done right. Note that cowboy boots and denim pieces can also be incorporated to complete the cowboy chic aesthetic.
4. Guest Appearances and Their Styles
‘A Bar Song’ crooner, Shaboozey and Post Malone both brought their fashion A-game to the performance. Shaboozey’s look featured a white, cowboy hat and floor-length coat complete with silver tassels.
Post Malone’s outfit also complemented the overall theme of the performance, adding diversity and flair.

The hashtag #BeyonceBowl kept trending on social media, long after the show ended, with fans raving about the fashion moments from the show. Clips of Beyoncé and Blue Ivy’s coordinated dance and outfits went viral, with notable American celebrities raving and gushing about Beyoncé’s performance.
