Global pop sensation Billie Eilish is set to read a bedtime story on CBeebies, selecting Oliver Jeffers’ beloved book, “This Moose Belongs to Me.” The 22-year-old American artist, known for her recent album “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” expressed her fondness for bedtime stories from her own childhood.
Eilish introduces the story by sharing her passion for both music and nature. The tale follows a boy named Wilfred and his claim over a moose named Marcel. Eilish emphasizes the importance of caring for wild animals while respecting their independence. Reflecting on her own childhood, she shared her love for bedtime stories, mentioning she would be disappointed if she missed one.
Since debuting at 14 with “Ocean Eyes,” Eilish has achieved global stardom and numerous awards. This year, she and her brother Finneas O’Connell won an Oscar for “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack. Critics praised her latest album, released in May, for its intimate and surprising qualities.
Billie Eilish joins other renowned musicians like Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Dolly Parton in narrating a CBeebies bedtime story. Her reading will air on Friday, 19 July, on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
