On Sunday, Manchester United hosted Aston Villa, in Sunday’s premier league clash, defeating Villa with just a goal to nil.
United Midfielder, Bruno Fernades scored the winning goal, making it the 100th league goal of his career, his mode of celebration did sir well with Villa fans as they jeered and booed at him.
Speaking about the celebration of his goal, Fernandes said he’ll prefer that Villa fans should focus their attention on their player rather than him, as he went to their corner to celebrate because he scored in that corner and he can’t go way up the end of old Trafford just to celebrate a goal.
“They probably don’t like to play against me,” he told MUTV. “I would prefer them to come and support their players rather than focus on me.”
: “It was just a celebration. I scored in that corner [so] I have to go to that corner. I couldn’t run to the other corner to celebrate or go all the way to the Stretford End to celebrate. I just went there.
