With less than 17 days to the end of his administration, President Muhammadu Buhari has moved out of his official residence in Aso Rock Presidential Villa to Glass House, a temporary structure that has served as the home of outgoing presidents since 1991.
The move was to reportedly allow for maintenance works on the Aso Rock residence in preparation for its next occupant.
Additionally, most of Buhari’s aides have also been moving their personal belongings out of Aso Rock to create room for the President-elect’s personal aides and key Presidency officials.
