Philip Lahm, a Bayern Munich legend has voiced his opinion on Mane’s inconsistent start this season.
Mane transferred from Liverpool to Bayern Munich in a deal worth€35m, after scoring 120 goals in 269 appearances for Liverpool.
Things haven’t been quite smooth for Mane in his new club, as he has just scored five goals in 11 matches, which includes three goals in the Bundesliga.
He was given the position of the center-forward on the left wing at Bayern Munich. According to Lahm, mane has good skills, but the problem he’s facing stems from the position he’s handling.
He further said that it seems Mane’s role in the team is not clearly defined yet
“Mane’s qualities are out of the question,” Lahm told Bild TV. “But it’s crucial that roles must be clearly assigned.”
“I don’t see that at the moment. I currently don’t understand how the roles are defined.
“Everyone has to know what they have to do on the pitch.”
Most people have attributed his inconsistent start to the position he’s taken in the club
