Breakfast was served the hardest way as one of Hollywood’s favorite couples, Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello called off their 2-year relationship.
This comes as a shock to the “shawmila” shippers.
Their collaboration on the hit single “senorita” will always be on every playlist of mine, especially when I want to get freaky. And I believe its same for you too.
Shawn and Camila no doubt had the most intense chemistry and this was well portrayed in their performances and the mushy mushy quotes they have both shared about their love that I have copied, pasted and sent to my lover(S)— I know you did that too.
The cause of their break up is still unknown, but it is clear it was a mutual decision as they both took to their socials in the wee hours of today to share the news with both their names at the end of the note.
The message reads:
“Hey guys, we’ve both decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends…”
It is good to know that they will still remain friends and hopefully get back together. But I cannot help but wonder what could be the cause as they had public appearances this month and all seemed great. They even shared a PDA (public display of affection) moment at the MET GALA 2021 event.
This just brings back their collaboration on the song “I know what you did last summer” which was about cheating. The song had lyrics like: “I know what you did last summer, please lie to me there is no other”.
I wonder if one of the parties did “something” last summer that could have led to the break up.
This is obviously a sad news to wake up to, but while we wait for more information on this I am going to keep dancing to “senorita” while I sip wine.
