On the 1st of August, 2024, Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset and wished for the children’s custody. The filing has been done as new cheating claims of Offset have emerged, although people close to the couple insist it is not the only cause of the separation.

This is the second time Cardi B has served her husband divorce papers, the first time came on the 20th of September, 2020 but she withdrew it.

Their marriage, however, has experienced a number of bumps in the road; notably rumors of extramarital affairs. Despite attempting to reconcile their shattered marriage through displaying remorse and showering each other with gifts, they failed to rise above their conflicts. Cardi B recently shared that she realized how it is hard for her to juggle a career and babies which may suggest that it put some strain on the couple.

This recent divorce filing shows that Cardi B is determined to ‘not take Offset back’ but only cater for her children and focus on her music career. When trials begins, the public will be eager to see how events play out for Cardi B, and Offset in this new stage of their lives.b
