Rapper Cardi B has confirmed that she is expecting her fourth child, this time with her boyfriend, NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The Bronx-born artist shared the news during an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, where she also spoke about her upcoming second album, Am I The Drama?, and her newly announced Little Miss Drama arena tour.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” Cardi revealed in the interview released Wednesday, September 17.
The couple, who went public with their relationship earlier this year, are expecting the baby before her tour kicks off in February.
Cardi described herself as being in a “strong and powerful” mindset, balancing her work commitments with pregnancy, while emphasising the mutual support she receives from Diggs.
On their relationship, she said: “My boyfriend, Stefon Diggs… I’m actually very, I’m excited. I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby. Me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other. We’re like in the same space in our careers, but like in different, you know. You know what it is? That I feel like we’re really great. And one of the best at what we do. And me and him think the same way. Like, it’s like, yeah, we’re one of the greatest. But what’s next? What are we doing again? We do it again. We have to do it again all the time. It’s not like we’re never comfortable. We just want to keep doing it. And that’s just how we both are.”
This pregnancy comes after her split from rapper Offset, with whom she shares three children—daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave.
Their highly publicised breakup followed years of ups and downs in their relationship.
Cardi also highlighted the security Diggs brings her.
“He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” she explained, noting that she recently battled anxiety over her album rollout and public attention.
