Cardi B isn’t taking it lying down after a false report called into Child Protective Services sent the unlikeliest of late-night visitors to her home. The rapper proclaimed that she will be suing both CPS and the anonymous caller behind the fake call for an outrage against the intrusion into her family’s life.
On October 22, 2024, an Instagram Live session saw Cardi blow her top and detail how CPS showed up at her mansion at 11 p.m, responding to claims that her children were getting abused. “To do a prank call with CPS to come to my gated mansion at 11 p.m. while my children are sleeping because of an anonymous call that my kids have been getting abused and beaten? Are you f***ing dumb?” she asked in anger.
She slammed the prank as irresponsible and reckless, pointing out it just targeted her specifically as a minority in her neighborhood. “I’m the only colored or Latin person in my neighborhood completely, and for people to pop into my house with cops and child protective services because someone did an anonymous call involving my children? This is where the pranks start going too far.”
Cardi vowed to sue, saying: “I promise you this: I’m going to sue Child Protective Services, and I’m also going to sue the person who made this call. As soon as I wake up in morning I’m going to the bottom of this.”
She also responded to those questioning her as a mother, making sure they know her kids are well taken care of: “Don’t ever play with my kids or my motherhood or ex-husband’s fatherhood. We don’t play that shit. My kids live great and have never been touched or hit. No matter how annoying they are, I never hit my kids.”
