The Italian arrived at the helm of Brazil’s national side in May 2025 after leaving Real Madrid, whom he managed for 533 matches and won numerous trophies during his spell.
Since arriving, Ancelotti has secured Brazil a place at the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Italian revealed himself to be “very happy” to have signed an extension at the five-time world champions and admitted his ambition is to “take Brazil back to the summit of the world rankings.”

“From the first day I felt the love and the importance football has in this country,” stated Ancelotti upon penning his new deal. ” For this past year we have been working to take the Brazilian national team back to the summit of the world rankings.”
“But what is most important is what CBF and I want, which are more wins, more time and more work, hence we are delighted to be together for the next four years.”
The 66-year-old has managed Brazil in 10 matches so far, in which he has won five and drawn two whilst losing three. Brazil is on a mission to win its first ever World Cup this summer after not lifting the trophy since 2002. Ancelotti will announce his final World Cup squad on May 18 th ahead of their Group C opener with Morocco on June 13 th.
