Chelsea and Argentina midfield enforcer Enzo Fernandez may have played his last game for the London club, as his agent has confirmed his client is considering leaving Stamford Bridge after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The former River Plate player was a high-profile recruit in January but has emerged as a key figure in the midfield of Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina side as they look to challenge for their first World Cup crown since 1986.
At an AFA event in Miami, agent Javier Pastore confirmed that while a number of clubs are interested in acquiring the 23-year-old, and a number, including Real Madrid, have been linked with his signature, there is yet no deal.

“He is only thinking about the World Cup, and we are looking at possibilities for him to leave Chelsea, but there is nothing concrete or confirmed with any club,” Pastore said, speaking about his client who recently purchased property in the Spanish capital, a move which was speculated to be indicative of an imminent switch.
“He has many friends there, including Julian Alvarez, and I also live in Madrid. Every time he travelled, it was to see me and discuss work matters. Besides that, who doesn’t like Madrid?”
