French women’s football Goalkeeping Revelation of the Season award has been won by Paris FC and Nigeria Goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie.

The award named “The Bruno Martini” is voted by all Division’s goalkeepers, the goalkeeper coaches, and the members of the goalkeeper coaches association were given to the 21-year-old Paris FC goalie for an incredible season that helped her side secure the 2022/2023 UEFA Women Champions League spot with a third-place finish in the league.

Chiamaka joined the Paris FC from Rivers Angel FC in January 2020 after a series of exciting performances for her former club then for Nigeria at the U-20 world cup in 2018, the African Cup of Nations in late 2018, and also the 2019 World Cup in France.

The former Rivers Angel goalkeeper won the award ahead of Stade de Reims’ Emily Alvarado and Collete Morche of Issy GPS for a brilliant season that Chiamaka only conceded in 6 games in the just concluded 2021/2022 French Feminine Division 1, keeping 13 clean sheets out of possible 19 games.

Chiamaka took to her Twitter page to express her emotions, she said;

“I want to say a big thank you to the AEGB French Football Association for this recognition and I won’t forget to mention my teammates, you all made it possible.”

Chiamaka has been called up to be part of the Super Falcons’ camp in preparation for the 2022 Women African Cup of Nations which is due to start in July and will be hosted by Morocco.
