Nigerian singer Chike has opened up about his views on marriage, revealing that he has no plans to tie the knot and considers it a “stupid step.”
Speaking with Chude Jideonwo, the Running hitmaker said, “In my personal opinion, I think it’s a stupid step to get married. That’s my opinion.” He added that marriage simply isn’t something he wants for himself.
Chike also highlighted that his happiness is largely tied to financial independence. “I need a lot of money to be happy,” he said, noting that his focus on wealth is not about greed but about achieving the lifestyle he desires.
The singer shared that music was never part of his original plan, and he only discovered his passion for it after finishing university.
While some critics label him as arrogant, Chike stated that such opinions do not bother him.
