A tragic event happened this morning in Benin City, Edo State. A car that runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) exploded at a NIPCO gas station on the Benin-Auchi Expressway.
People who saw it happen said the explosion caused a lot of fear, and three people were hurt in different ways. These people were quickly taken to a private hospital for help.
This explosion has made people worried about the safety of cars that use CNG. This is especially important now because the government wants more cars to switch from using petrol to CNG to save money after the fuel subsidy was removed.
The authorities in Edo State are looking into what happened to find out why it occurred and to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
