Nigerian content creator Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, widely known as Mandy Kiss, has been named a brand ambassador for the Lagos State Kick Against Drug and Substance Abuse (LASKADA).

The announcement was made at a recent event attended by Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, who emphasized the importance of engaging influencers to strengthen anti-drug campaigns.

“We’re here with Mandy Kiss, and you know, she’s actually agreed to become one of our LASKADA brand ambassadors, Lagos State Kicks Against Drug Abuse,” Ogunlende said.

“Drugs are a pandemic that is hitting our streets, society and community. The government cannot fight it alone.

“We must work in collaboration with those that can reach as many people as possible, and we know Mandy Kiss has a large followership, 402,000. We’ve had conversations and we’re trying to do things differently.”

Ogunlende acknowledged that no one is perfect but emphasized the need to focus on the future:

“Everybody has a past, nobody’s perfect, but again, as a brand ambassador to Legal State Kicks Against Drug Abuse, we hope Mandy Kiss will be able to reach the nooks and crannies, you know, of Lagos to assist us in fighting this pandemic,” he said.

“With the powers conferred on me, I make her one of our brand ambassadors. So, say no to drugs. Say what? Say no to drugs.”

Mandy Kiss shared her reaction on Instagram, describing the appointment as “a new chapter” and an opportunity to inspire young people. She expressed her gratitude to the Lagos State government and highlighted the responsibility of her new role.

“New chapter unlocked!!! Officially a LASKADA Ambassador! Ready to stand tall in the fight against drug abuse and inspire our youths to choose purpose over drugs,” she wrote.

“A drug-free Lagos is possible, and it starts with us! Grateful to the Lagos State Ministry of Youth & Social Development under the Leadership of Governor Sanwo-Olu for this honorable appointment as an Ambassador of LASKADA.

“This is not just a title—it’s a call to action! Together, let’s raise our voices, spread awareness, and create a future where our youths thrive beyond drug abuse.”

The appointment comes after Mandy Kiss faced controversy over her plan to set a world record by having sex with 100 men in 24 hours. Guinness World Records later clarified that it does not monitor such a record. Following backlash from the public, including criticism from Akintunde Akinyemi, the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom in Ogun State, Mandy canceled the plan.
