Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first active footballer to enter the billionaire club with a staggering fortune of $1.4 billion. Football megastar Ronaldo earned his place on the exclusive list with his colossal playing salary, profitable endorsements, and business acumen, according to the October 2025 estimations by Bloomberg.
This latest addition came as the 41-year-old completed a record contract at Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr with more than $400 million on offer for free from taxes.
The Portuguese player’s climb to the top is impressive, especially when considering Ronaldo had a difficult upbringing and once admitted his family often had to resort to scraping food left over from a McDonald’s to eat whilst he chased his dream.

Outside the pitch, he continues to remain one of the most commercially viable sportsmen, with his career partnerships with Nike yielding about $18 million per year.
Endorsement deals with world renowned brand, including Louis Vuitton, Binance, Armani, Castrol, and TAG Heuer, have significantly multiplied his earnings.
The five-time Ballon D’Or winner’s wealth does not stop at his playing salary and brand endorsements, as he also ownsCR7 lifestylebrandandhasinvested inhotels, gyms, and media companies.
