Afrobeats superstar Davido has spoken glowingly about his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, describing him as the most effective governor the state has had.

In a recent episode of Culture Knock Out (C.K.O) hosted by Chris and Baloo and posted on X, Davido addressed public perception of Adeleke, who is often nicknamed the “Dancing Governor” due to his cheerful and energetic personality.

Davido Defends ‘Dancing Governor’, Says Adeleke Has Proven Critics Wrong

“My uncle, the Dancing Governor is good vibes. He has an amazing story, he is the last born of my dad’s family. They [Osun people] never believed that he would become a governor,” Davido shared.

He added, “He is a real example of, ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’; just because somebody likes to dance and have a good time, it doesn’t mean when it is time to work, he won’t. Now, he’s been the best Governor that they’ve ever had.”

Davido’s remarks highlight the transformation of Adeleke’s public image from an underestimated political figure to one praised for his performance in office.
