The Serie A club announced on Friday that Angel Di Maria has completed his transfer deal with Juventus after being released by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the previous campaign.
The Argentine winger has agreed to a one-year contract with Turin, where he will reportedly receive a salary of seven million euros ($7.14 million)
After his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended at the end of the season, the winger’s name had been linked to a move to the Turin club for some time.
Although Di Maria himself expressed interest in joining Barcelona, the Argentine international has decided to spend time in Serie A instead.
Di Maria and Juventus have agreed to a one-year contract, and he will leave in the 2023 summer.
The club wanted to tie him to a longer contract, which caused negotiations with the Italian team to drag on. However, the former Manchester United player was eager to spend just one more season in Europe before joining Rosario Central in Argentina, where his career began.
Di Maria did speak with Barca, but he wasn’t happy with their offer.
However, the 34-year-old felt certain that Juve’s offer was the best and made a suggestion last month that he would move to Turin.
