Renowned Nigerian DJ, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed hope that the country will eventually have a female President.
She noted that Namibia’s recent milestone as the first African country with both a female President and Vice President could inspire hope for women in Nigeria.
In a Wednesday post on her X handle, Cuppy stated, “Namibia just made history.
“Africa’s FIRST country with BOTH a female President AND female Vice President.
“Maybe there’s hope for Nigeria one day after all…”
Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah recently took the oath as Namibia’s first female President after winning last year’s election.
With Lucia Witbooi as Vice President, Namibia becomes the first African nation led by both a female President and Vice President.
