Martin Keown, Arsenal’s legend has cautioned that it’s way too early to pitch Arsenal as the EPL title contenders, as the season just started.
Arsenal has been super terrific this season, as they won yesterday’s match with Aston Villa, making it five straight wins, putting them on top of the EPL table with 15 points in the bag.
According to Keown, he is super proud of their performance, and this season seems promising for Arsenal, but it’s quite early to label Arsenal as a big threat to last season’s winner of the EPL, Man City. Keown feels it’s ridiculous to think that way, knowing that the world of football is filled with surprises.
“Keown said he “hopes this is the start of something special”, but says it is too early to consider Arsenal as a genuine threat to defending champions Manchester City.
“It’s step by step with this Arsenal team. It’s so early in the season, it’s ridiculous [to call them title contenders].
