Billionaire businessman and entertainment mogul, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has spoken out publicly for the first time following his release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Earlier reports indicated that E-Money was picked up by the anti-graft agency over allegations of spraying and mishandling the Naira at the lavish birthday celebration of fellow socialite, Obi Cubana.
The incident drew widespread reactions online, with some social media users questioning why other prominent individuals, including children of billionaire Rasak Okoya, were not similarly held accountable despite engaging in similar actions.
In response to the buzz surrounding his arrest, E-Money on Tuesday took to his official Instagram handle, @iam_emoney1, to share a video clip and address his followers.
Dressed regally and seated in a luxurious setting, the businessman expressed gratitude and offered reassurance.
“No tension, everywhere good. I see all your love and support. God bless you all. #itistoolatetofailamen,” he wrote.
The post, which featured the gospel song “Thank You for Saving Me” playing in the background, appeared to signal his relief and appreciation for public support.
E-Money’s message comes as his fans and associates continue to show solidarity amid the controversy.
