The management of an Enugu-based radio station, Urban 94.5FM has raised an alarm over the invasion of its live broadcast on Monday, 14th October by some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Urban FM had disclosed this through a statement, adding that the incident happened at about 5:45 pm.
According to the Radio station, the EFCC operatives forcefully abducted presenters and carried away communication equipment.
The released statement partly read;
“Whilst we are following up with the matter, we will continue to inform our dear listeners accordingly through this medium.
“Once again we apologize for the unethical break-in into our live studio and the disruption of your favorite programs and hope that the matter will be resolved as soon as possible and for whatever the reasons.”
As at the time of filing this report on Tuesday morning, the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyedele on Tuesday morning, had yet to reply to a text message for further information.
