Senior pastor of Trinity House Church, Ituah Ighodalo, has revealed that he is now open to the idea of getting married again, four years after the passing of his wife, Ibidun Ighodalo.
Ibidun died in June 2020 from a heart attack, just weeks before her 40th birthday. Following her death, Pastor Ighodalo repeatedly stated he had no intention of remarrying, saying he had “given everything” to his late wife and felt he had “nothing left to offer anyone else.”
However, during a recent interview with Nigeria Info FM, now available on YouTube, the cleric shared a shift in perspective, admitting he is beginning to warm up to the possibility of finding love again.
“When Ibidun died, I thought remarrying was impossible because I had given her so much. So, when I get asked about remarrying, my first response was I don’t have more love to give, but time heals,” he said.
“People are putting me under a lot of pressure, but I’m not listening to them, but to my heart. My heart is telling me that remarrying is possible.”
He clarified that there is currently no one in the picture, adding that he is prayerfully taking his time and evaluating the situation with caution.
“At the moment, there is no one in view, I’m just believing in God. It is not an easy decision, and there are things to consider,” he said.
“So, before I can get to that stage, we have to cross all the t’s and dot all the i’s.”
