A short drama had ensued in Enugu state as the governor-elect, Peter Mbah, the Commissioner of Police and a host of others scampered in different directions during the short ceremony of issuing Certificates of Return when a loud bang was heard on the premises.
Sources who had witnessed the incident had revealed that the exercise had resumed after a break period of 30 minutes.
An eyewitness had reported: “I couldn’t go back to the hall. The bang was so loud that everyone thought that the building would not stand for another next minute. We thank God that the worst did not happen”.
