Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) ex-governor Godwin Emefiele is facing the fire, labeled the “worst” ever by TAF Africa founder Jake Epelle. This comes amidst Emefiele’s ongoing legal troubles – six counts of fraud and corruption hanging over his head.
While some might expect sympathy for Emefiele after his recent detainment by the Department of State Services (DSS), Epelle pulls no punches. He doesn’t mince words, saying Nigerians have no pity for Emefiele’s plight, perhaps remembering the “cash crunch” period that many blame him for.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Epelle didn’t hold back. “He messed up a lot of financial processes and principles,” he bluntly stated, adding that Emefiele “deserves exactly what he is getting.”
Epelle went further, calling Emefiele the “worst CBN governor” and demanding he return any stolen funds if found guilty. “Go to court,” he challenged, highlighting the frustration many feel about the legal process.
This controversy serves as a stark reminder – actions have consequences, even for powerful figures like Emefiele. The current CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, would be wise to take note, ensuring Nigeria’s financial future isn’t built on shaky ground.
