The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has recently announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He had revealed his plans while making a guest appearance on an Arise Tv News program on Wednesday, March 1st night.
According to Fayose, his decision to exit the political party was because of perceived irreconcilable differences which had fractured the party.
Additionally, Fayose had revealed that his exit from the political party was to enable him to become an elder statesman, effectively retiring from active politics.
Recall that Fayose had lost the presidential primary to Atiku Abubakar in the party’s primary election.
