Over 500 exhibitors from thirty nations are looking for distributors and partners to help them break into Nigeria’s potentially lucrative market.

The Food and Beverage West Africa Conference and Exhibition which took place in Lagos, was attended by exhibitors around the world.

They claim that they are establishing business relationships between manufacturers, distributors, and consumers of a wide range of products in the food processing, beverage, and nutrition value chain by taking advantage of the window provided by Africa’s largest trade facilitation initiative.

Speaking at the event, Brad Smith, Exhibition Manager for BtoB Events Limited, stated that the programme keeps providing worldwide brand manufacturers with marketing network chances to reach potential markets in Nigeria and other West African nations.

According to Smith, his business is collaborating with the Nigerian government to provide investment opportunities for foreign nations and businesses eager to take advantage of the vast market in Nigeria.

He said that hundreds of exhibitors from more than 30 nations had descended upon Nigeria to present their goods and look for business partners, despite the country’s current economic and security conditions. He urged the federal government to stabilise the currency rate and implement further incentives to draw in foreign investment. According to him, a lot of businesses that initially travelled to Nigeria to evaluate the market for their goods are now thinking about establishing factories there.

As some of the exhibitors are acquiring partners who want them to site factories in Nigeria, the trade fair organisers noted that this networking platform will see to the establishment of additional enterprises in Nigeria.
