Folarin Falana popularly known in the entertainment industry as Falz has just released his fifth album titled Bahd, and thanks to its superb beats, it promises to be highly addictive to listeners across the globe. The songwriter, rapper, and singer confessed earlier in the year that his fifth album would be released on the 9th of June 2022. This is coming after his last release in 2019 with the album, Moral Instruction. It has been revealed that his recent album will be coming with six featured artists. When asked the reason behind his fifth album’s name, he explained that the name came about because he wanted to do things a little differently this time around.
His previous albums: Wazup Guy, Stories that Touch, 27 and Moral instruction skyrocketed him into the public sphere and appeal based on the wisecrack and the witty way he approached social concerns with his music, with the exception of the last album Moral Instruction which had a deeper tone and was highly critical of the corrupt government and the society. A few fans have likened his music to that of Fela’s, in the sense that they critique bad governance through their music.
Falz has gone on to explain his inspirations and expectations for his newest album.
“The music on this album is deliciously dreamy”, he explains in a video he released to promote the album.
“And for me, it represents the sound of intimacy, and it sort of sets the tone for a really special moment for a woman that is special to me” he further adds.
The track list and the art for the album have been shared with the public. The featured artists include Tiwa Savage, Chike, The Cavemen, Timaya and Boy Spyce, L.A.X and BNXN (Formerly known as Buju).
