Adding more fuel to the photos are now-viral old tweets from Wizkid and Burna Boy. In 2013, Wizkid tweeted, “Chosen I am”, while Burna Boy tweeted in 2011, “Many Are Called, Few Are Chosen.” Those statements were as rife as their apron-wearing throwback photos, adding more intrigue and humor as their fans began connecting the dots.
In the heat of the fever, some fans threw jocular pokes at fellow Afrobeats sensation Davido, whom they claimed was yet to reach the levels of Wizkid and Burna Boy, since he was not part of the apron club. The trending conversation came after a viral church testimony where a member claimed that wearing the apron saved him from a gunshot.
