A female police officer who has now been identified as Inspector Olorunsogo Bamidele, who is currently serving at the Nigeria Police Force, Osun State command, and attached to the Ode-Omu Divisional headquarters, has cried out to fellow Nigerians for justice. This is coming after she had reportedly been brutalized and physically assaulted by her senior colleague, ASP Ajayi Mathew.

Bamidele had posted a video on the internet, where she was bruised all over in her torn police uniform and cuts could be seen in several places on her body, accusing her senior colleague, ASP Matthew of sexual harassment.

In the video, Bamidele had confessed that ASP Mathew, who is additionally the Divisional Crime Officer, had been making romantic advances towards her but she had refused him because she was married and did not want to be unfaithful to her husband.

However, rather than letting his colleague be, ASP Matthew then began harassing, intimidating, and blackmailing Bamidele, threatening to terminate her job if she did not accept his advances. This incident occurred on Tuesday, November 1

“He started beating me, to the extent that he naked (sic) me. Look at my chest, my hands, everywhere injured. Mr. Ajayi Mathew.” Inspector Bamidele had said in the video.

At the time of this report, the Nigeria Police Force -NPF authorities have yet to officially confirm the video.
