Moss Ifeoluwa Adekunle, a 300-level student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), in Ondo State, has been found dead in her room in a house outside the university campus.
The deceased’s body was found on Saturday and further inquiries by the police revealed that the Ifeoluwa was ambushed by yet-to-identified attacker(s).
The sad incident was said to have led to fear and uneasiness among the students of the university, especially female students.
A neighbour of the deceased who spoke to news reporters in the condition of anonymity, had appealed to the Ondo State government to make sure that the victim gets justice.
The neighbour had said:
“We discovered her in a pool of blood in her room. She was stabbed to death by yet-to-be-identified attacker(s)who came visiting. We suspect that this is not a cult-related issue as some people are speculating.“We have reported the murder case to police officials but it seems they are slow in responding to our demands to identify and track those behind this heinous act.
“We are begging the Ondo State Government to please look into the matter and ensure that the deceased student gets justice.”
