The Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has approved the Kogi State Government permission to build an international airport in Zariagi. This news was shared by Kogi’s Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, who said that the approval was written in a letter dated October 9, 2024.
Fanwo mentioned that Governor Usman Ododo’s administration is dedicated to finishing the project quickly and following all the rules. The airport will help 10 nearby states and reduce traffic on the Lokoja-Abuja road and at Abuja International Airport.
Governor Ododo sees the airport project as very important, using Kogi State’s good location to attract the aviation market. The airport will help the state’s economy grow, create jobs, and show the world what Kogi State can do.
