The Federal Government of Nigeria has just recently launched 13 Metropolitan Fire Stations in various cities across the country in addition to launching a Federal Fire Service in the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the Minister of Interior, had commissioned the newly established Metropolitan Fire Station located in Kubwa, Abuja, on Tuesday, May 16, and had said that the 13 Zonal Fire Station Headquarters (Metro Fire Station) were located strategically in suburban areas for a rapid-fire and rescue interventions to communities in a much shorter time.
