President Bola Tinubu has reiterated that the Federal Government is committed to improving the capacity of the Nigeria Police Force by equipping them with modern tools and resources to enhance their effectiveness in enforcing laws. The president made this statement at the occasion of the graduation ceremony for 478 students of the Nigeria Police Academy located in Wudil, Kano State, where he emphasized the need for police officers to maintain professionalism and integrity.

Represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, he announced a large-scale recruitment drive, which aims at engaging youths in national security activities. The graduands were also urged by him to observe high standards of policing, including compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

He expressed his confidence in the training programs of the academy, stating that it is one of the best police training institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. The government’s support was assured for the academy, while the newly recruited officers were reminded to always put national interest first and serve with dedication.

The president further underlined the importance of vigilance as well as adhering strictly to all ideals associated with policing, particularly service delivery. In congratulating them on their achievements during the ceremony, Tinubu told them that they should be able to discharge their duties with honor, dignity, and respect for all Nigerians, irrespective of status or class.
