The Flamingos started on the wrong foot, as they were defeated 2-1 by Germany in their Match opener in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World cup on Tuesday in India.
Miracle Usani put Flamingos ahead as she scored the first goal 30 minutes into the first half, their Joy was short-lived as Svea Scol scored an equalizer for Germany in the 50th minute. Mara Alber sealed the win for Germany after she scored the second goal. The inability of the Flamingos to equalize gave Germany victory in the match.
Flamingos are to face New Zealand, on Friday and will try their best to see that they recover from Germany’s Defeat.
This is definitely not a good way to start the World cup Games, but we hope that our Girls will step up their game.
