Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, a former deputy governor of Lagos State, has said that the process of renouncing her Nigerian citizenship following the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the President-elect was still ongoing and would be completed soon.
Ojikutu, who announced the information while addressing the press at her Lagos residence has remarked that it would be completed before May 29.
According to the former deputy governor, all efforts made to resolve the differences she had with Tinubu, the president-elect since she was made a commissioner representing Lagos State at the Federal Character Commission had been unsuccessful.
While lamenting over the state of Nigeria, she said she was no longer proud to be a former public office holder.
However, she had expressed confidence in the judiciary for its transparency in handling the cases at the election tribunal.
