Organisers of the 98th Academy Awards on Thursday released the first batch of nominations for the 2026 Oscars, with actors Lewis Pullman and Danielle Brooks announcing the contenders.
Early indications suggest strong outings for Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, both of which have emerged as early favourites in major award categories.
The Academy also confirmed that the Oscars ceremony will take place on March 15, 2026, with comedian and television host Conan O’Brien set to return as host.
