YouTube has released its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the creators, music videos, and entertainment content that captured the most attention from Nigerian viewers throughout the year.
According to a statement issued by Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, gospel singer Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and Nollywood star Omoni Oboli stood out as the platform’s biggest names in 2025.
Gaise Baba topped the music chart with his inspirational anthem “No Turning Back II” featuring Lawrence Oyor, which ranked as the most-watched Nigerian music video of the year. Released in mid-May, the video quickly gained nationwide traction, amassing over 41 million views in just six months and sparking massive engagement across social media.
