Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic are leading the way in the first fan voting returns for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, the league announced Thursday.
Fan voting is half the equation for the starting spots in the Feb. 16 show in San Francisco, with NBA players and a panel of media voters accounting for the other half each. The All-Star format of 2023 includes four teams in a tournament, spearheaded by Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and this years Rising Stars Challenge champions led by Women’s NBA icon Candace Parker.
Antetokounmpo is ahead in the overall voting with 1,710,630 votes, leading the Eastern Conference frontcourt as well. Jayson Tatum of Boston (1,385,851) and Karl-Anthony Towns of New York (1,099,966) complete the top three. Charlotte’s LaMelo Ball tops East guards with 947,444 votes, pacing Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell (718,084).
In the West, Jokic leads all forwards with 1,422,121 votes, followed by Phoenix’s Kevin Durant (1,268,799) and LeBron James (1,167,661). Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tops West guards with 1,053,683 votes, followed by Dallas’ Luka Doncic (870,071) and Golden State’s Stephen Curry (810,357).
Final rosters will be shaped by still-open fan voting as well as some decisions from players and media.
