Crowwe app, a social media and e-wallet app, developed by Adamu Garba has been suspended on Google Play Store.
This is coming after allegations of plagiarism, as investigations revealed that the app used spotify’s terms and conditions word for word, without editing.
The app, however, has had bad reviews from majority of its users as some labeled it “a tool by used by terrorist”, while others claim it’s a government tool.
Adamu Garba, a strong supporter of the Buhari adminstration, who once sued Twitter for causing unrest in the nation (a case he later withdrew), is the owner and founder of Crowwe.
Adamu Garba who leveraged on the recent Twitter ban in Nigeria to promote his app, tweeted,
“Join now! Build your country, build your people and build your brand. Join now!”
“This is the best opportunity to grow Nigeria, to build Nigeria to the World.” He added.
It should be noted that Google removes any application that violates or are perceived to violate its policies.
