Moses Korede Are, a veteran actor who was most famous for playing Baba Gbenro in the popular Mount Zion television series “Abattoir,” has been buried.
The movie star was laid to rest in Ogbomosho, Oyo state.
On Friday, Zion Kulture, a Christian video podcast and subsidiary of Mount Zion Radio, posted photos of the funeral on X.
The photos were captioned, “Till we meet again ️️️
Keep resting, Baba Gbenro.
You are greatly missed!”
The actor, popularly known as Baba Gbenro, was born on June 11, 1959. He grew up in Kano State, continued his schooling in Plateau State, and finally finished in southwestern Nigeria.
He developed and served as the International President of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry, which is based in Ogbomosho. He died in November 2024.
