The governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed hopes that he would overcome the challenges and hurdles that he has so far faced as the governor of the state. Governor Soludo has asked the residents in the state to support his government over the troubling insecurity in the state occasioned by criminals, codenamed unknown gun men also tagged UGM.

The governor also added that he was well aware of the tasks he signed up for in the state when he won the governorship elections in the state in 2021. In his speech relayed via broadcast, he spoke about his and his deputy’s first 100 days in office, highlighting that the troublesome and disturbing insecurity in the state was gradually being contained, hinting at a positive plan ongoing in various communities in Anambra.

He added that his administration was created on five pillars, with the first pillar being security, law, and order, thus a new ministry had been created towards that effect, the new ministry is known as the Ministry of Homeland Affairs, which quickly launched its security and emergency crack team.

Additionally, the governor stated that at present, mountains of waste were being cleared on various roads in the state and that the entry points in and out of Anambra especially the Amansea area and bridge-head Onitsha would become a pleasurable experience; ushering in the urban renewal agenda for cleaning and modernizing Okpoko and Onitsha metropolis.
