The North Central region governors in the country had on Thursday paid the newly sworn-in Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, a courtesy call at his office.
The governors included: Caleb Mutfwang, the governor of Plateau State; Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the governor of Benue State Governor; Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Governor of Kwara State, Abdullahi Sule, the Governor of Nasarawa State, and Yakubu Garba, the Deputy Governor of Niger State.
Recall that Akume had been sworn in yesterday, June 7.
According to a statement released by the Director of Information, Office of the SGF, Willie Bassey, the visit by the region governors had been to assure Akume of their unwavering support. This was according to a statement by the Chairman of the North Central Governors’ Forum, Abdullahi Sule.
Meanwhile, Akume has praised the North Central Governors’ Forum for the visit, remarking that the courtesy call would serve as an inspiration to achieve extraordinary strides for the country.
